El Tejon Unified School District

The mission of the El Tejon Unified School District, in partnership with the community, is to educate students in a safe and challenging environment that links learning to life.

Gorman Joint School District

The mission of Gorman Elementary School is to provide a safe and caring climate in which all students will accept responsibility for their own actions, show respect for themselves and others, and become intentional learners in order to cooperate with the learning process.  Gorman School is a single site district.

Peak to Peak Mountain Charter is a Public Elementary Charter School. 
The Primary Goal of Peak to Peak Mountain Charter is to provide an exemplary, individualized, standards-based education for all children, with an emphasis on cooperative, hands-on, theme-based learning.

Kern County Superintendent of Schools

Valley Oaks Charter School is a parent choice and parent participation, tuition-free charter where parents, teachers and the community work together to educate one student at a time. The school offers a wide range of options including home-based learning, cooperative school programs and classes, independent study, group seminars and learning projects.

  • Valley Oaks Charter School (grades K-8 in Frazier Park, grades 9-12 in Bakersfield)
